A 13-Year-Old on a Joyride Crashes a Lamborghini Huracan
A 13-year-old who decided on getting behind the wheel of their family’s Huracan Lamborghini for a late joy-ride had a gruesome end, resulting in the destruction of an Italian supercar, the West Vancouver police report.
As was reported by The West Vancouver Police Department, the event occurred on the 25 of March. At this point, the police officers received a report of a single-car crash. It was around 11:00 o’clock. The luxury vehicle was in the ditch and everyone was out of it.
Sgt. Chris Bigland, a West Vancouver police spokesperson, explained that officers searched exhaustively for the driver and passengers. The car’s owner cooperated with us, so we quickly found and interviewed the uninjured occupants.
The scene reminded them of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with the difference that the driver was 13 years old. The name of the person charged is not being released because they are a youth.
A friend and the youth took the car for a ride in the dark and rainy conditions, but they could not control it. When the teen lost control, investigators estimated the teen was going 100km/h.
Bigland police spokesperson said, “Despite significant property damage, no one was injured due to the collision.”
Driving without a license, speeding, failing to remain at the scene of the accident, and driving without due care were all charges filed under the Motor Vehicle Act.
